Technisch Creative is an award-winning event management and production company headquartered in East Lansing, Michigan. The company provides a variety of event management, technical direction and creative design to corporations, associations, government and charitable organizations.

Heidi Brumbach, General Manager

Heidi began her career in the events and entertainment industry as a dancer, singer and actress. She has performed with magicians Seigfried and Roy as well as appearing on television, cruise ships, theme parks and dinner theater. As an event professional, she has worked in many areas of the industry including talent management, production management, and catering, as well as planning and coordination.

Heidi has coordinated events for corporations like IBM, AG Edwards, Honda, and General Motors and countless fundraisers for non-profits and political campaigns. Her events have featured celebrities such as Sheryl Crow, Penn and Teller, Robin Leech, and Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. As an industry leader, she has authored many published articles in Special Events Magazine and Campus Event Professional, and has held multiple leadership positions with the International Special Events Society.

* Heidi was recently inducted into Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine’s Hall of Fame as the Best Special Event Planner in 2009. She is also a recipient of the ISES Espirit Award, one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, presented by the International Special Events Society, and the Supplier of the Year Award from the Michigan Chapter of MPI.

 

Jim Brumbach, Technical Director

Jim began his professional career as the manager of WQSU in Central Pennsylania. He graduated from Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts where he later returned to teach sound reinforcement and concert lighting. He has held head positions with Carnival Cruise Lines, Walt Disney World and MGM Mirage Resorts. In his experience, Jim has worked with countless bands and celebrities such as Matchbox 20, Verve Pipe, Michael Grimm, Terry Fator, Jay Leno, Ray Romano, Wayne Brady, George Carlin, and Jeff Foxworthy just to name a few.

Jim’s technical expertise includes extensive knowledge of live sound, lighting, video production, audio recording and mastering, and electronics. He has lead his team to be recognized as the Best Audio Visual/ Presentation Provider in Michigan by Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine.

 

 

 

 

Derek Byrd, AV Technician

Derek has an extraordinarily diverse and deep knowledge of audio and video systems.  His experience began in recording studios in Kalamazoo, Michigan while attending Western Michigan University.  Not long after finding a sincere passion for audio engineering, Derek co-founded a recording studio and began working on studio projects.  Catching the eye of a concert promotion company in Michigan, he took his talents to the road as a technical director and sound manager.

After the sudden unfortunate death of his business partner, Derek did freelance audio, video work for some national and regional musicians.  These artists included Bad Boy Bill, Bam Bam, Crisis, DJ Swamp, Jonny Lang, Kyle Jennings, Sky Nellor, Steve Cole, Woodward, and Yolanda Adams.  A few of the venues and shows included Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo, Phoenix Zoo, Scottsdale Theatre in Arizona, St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, State Theatre in Kalamazoo, Stratus in Phoenix, U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, and sound manager for the Fox Sports Superbowl Halftime remote in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Along with live and studio production experience, Derek has designed some of the most advanced audio, video and lighting systems for live music venues in Arizona.  These include, White House in Scottsdale, Angels and Outlaws in Scottsdale, Devils Martini (North and South locations) in Scottsdale and Stratus in Phoenix.

 

Carol Campbell, Event Designer

Carol Couture Campbell, a Special Events designer and wedding planner, has been working in the events industry for over 16 years. Campbell also has experience in catering and banquets, most recently working at the Country Club of Lansing. Previously, Campbell worked at a leading event design company in Detroit serving as an Event Designer for corporate events. Campbell has done events for such clients as KIA, BMW, General Motors, Henry Ford Hospitals, Motor City Casino, Hard Rock Café and President George W. Bush. Campbell has co-written several articles published for the Michigan Floral Magazine.
